Stream ‘The Life and Songs of Martin Carthy’ concert movie — Available Now
The Life and Songs of Martin Carthy is a concert film six decades in the making — and you can watch it from wherever you are in the world.
Shot last September at a sold-out EartH Theatre in London, the film captures an extraordinary night of music brought together in honour of one of British folk's most beloved figures. Billy Bragg, Graham Coxon, Eliza Carthy, Maddy Prior, John Kirkpatrick, Nick Hart, Angeline Morrison and more all took to the stage to celebrate Martin's life and work — and the result is something rather special.
Filmed and edited by Chad Hodgson and produced by Campbell Baum of Broadside Hacks, the soundtrack was edited, mixed and mastered by Jon Wilks. Together they've created a document of a night that deserves to last.
Songlines called it "a worthy celebration of the modest, brilliant and ever-adventurous singer and guitarist who has transformed the folk scene." Americana UK described it as a tribute that "will be remembered as a legendary folk event."
The film is available to stream via the Broadside Hacks' Patreon page for £20, and will be available for one month from 21st March 2026. Click to Stream The Life and Songs of Martin Carthy on Broadside Hacks' Patreon.
